Ex-Som, The Alumni Association of the college, although always functioning from early days was formally established in the year 2009 by registering with Assistant Registrar of Societies, Greater Mumbai vide registration # 2570 of 2009 GBBSD and Joint Charity Commissioner of Greater Mumbai.

The main objective being to create a forum where the alumni can give back to the college what they learned from here and bring in their valued experience to be shared with the current students so that knowledge multiplies. The association aims to bring alumni to together to create a pool of experience, talent and other resource which shall be involved in various activities like mentoring students, arranging and / or conducting seminars and workshops, raise funds to provide assistance to under privileged students, imparting life skill training and many more for the benefit of students and society at large.

The association feel happy & proud to see alumni making remarkable contributions in various fields of arts & culture, fashion, performing arts, social service & politics, NCC, sports, education, literary, journalism, civil services, industry & entrepreneurship, finance, corporate management and many more.

The college motto has always & “Gyandev Tu Kaivalyam” meaning Knowledge Alone Liberates.

The alumni of this college have always been in the forefront of multiple activities for the college including, amongst other:

• industry interaction lectures
• guidance seminars on career related topics
• subject board members
• member jury for college events
• recruiters for companies
• supporting poor students by way of fees.

The Alumni Association also contributes to students’ growth through financial means by providing scholarships for economically backward and meritorious students.

Some alumni are also now teaching in the college as professors / lecturers or working as non-teaching staff members with great distinction. Lately the immediate past as well as current Principal, Vice Principal, Dean of the college is also an Alumni of this college!!

Academic Support

Board of Studies & Academic Council: The Alumni Association is actively involved in the academic revision mechanism of the college. Representatives from the Ex-Som take part in the Board of Studies and Academic Council meetings and provide important suggestions on quality enhancement of teaching and learning processes.

Placement Support

Our Alumni help students to join industry / consultants / professional as trainee / employment. Many students undergo CA Article training under our Alumni who are practicing Chartered Accountants. They also provide employment opportunities to students in their firms / client organizations so the students’ learning can translate into application & they have hands on experience of delivery at ground zero.

Financial Support
