Create, Nurture, Transform

Women Development Cell of K.J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce has played an important role in creating various awareness programmes on gender sensitization, women’s rights and empowerment of women. WDC created a LOGO under the guidance of former chairperson Dr Veena Sanekar with a motto Create, Nurture, Transform.

Every year ‘International Women’s Day’ is celebrated with the theme of expressing our respect, appreciation, love and care towards all women. Women Study Centre has been established under the guidance of I/C Principal Dr Veena Sanekar from the year 2021-2022.

The Cell functions purely to safeguard the rights of female students, therefore any issue, problem, complaints or suggestions, can be brought to the notice of WDC, which is located on the second floor next to the staff room.
