Since 1960 Economics association has been a part of Economics Department. All the activities of Economic Association are managed by the students under the purview of the teaching faculty. Members of association committed to ensuring the smooth functioning of departmental operations, activities, and events. In the year 2021-22, Economics Association is transformed into a student’s forum where teachers are acting as facilitator & guide to students in organizing various co-curricular activities. This is done with objective to develop sense of coordination, cooperation, leadership & teamwork among students. Department also realized the importance of technology to deal with 21st generation learner who are tech & net savvy. It is therefore Department endeavored to publish its own website named “Somaiyanomics” This website is also managed by students under the guidance of teachers.
