About Psy-Phil Association

In psychology as well as philosophy, people are a primary concern. Philosophic study focuses on what constitutes the human condition, while psychological study tries to explain why it is. Psy Phil Association always tries to develop and strengthen the links between philosophy and the psychology by various programmes such as discussions, lectures, workshops, field visits etc. The purpose of this association is to provide the students with knowledge about the applications of Psychology and Philosophical concepts in various fields so that they understand the relevance of Psychology and Philosophy in different areas of life.

Objectives

  • To promote interaction between philosophers, psychologists and other cognitive scientists on issues of common concern.
  • To promote Philosophy & Psychology by improving the academic status of the subject.
  • Is to promote the exchange of ideas of philosophers and psychologist by the students.
  • To encourage creative and scholarly activity in philosophy & psychology.
  • To developing and strengthening the links between philosophy and the psychology by various programme such as discussion, lecture, field visit etc.
  • To make the students aware of the applications of Psychological and Philosophical concepts in various fields so that they understand the relevance of Psychology and Philosophy in different areas of life.
