Centre for Gandhian Studies was established in 2006 under the scheme of epoch-making social thinkers. It was inaugurated at the hands of the noted historian—Shri Y. D. Phadke. Mahatma Gandhi has been one of the most notable personalities in the history of India and the world. His ideas of truth and non-violence have been major torch bearer for the entire humanity. His concepts of non-cooperation and Swadeshi have been equally relevant in the contemporary world. His dream and ideal of Sarvodaya have been the ideals for the people all over the world. Through charkha and Khadi, he changed the destinies of the thousands of the underprivileged people. Centre for Gandhian Studies has been consistently undertakes the work on a wide range of Gandhian themes, ideals and principles. Centre has been inviting and interacting with the living successors of the Gandhian family.
