Students Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)

The UGC (University Grants Commission) requires that , all higher education institutions, including affiliated colleges, establish a Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) to address student grievances in a fair and timely manner. This committee has the job of addressing any grievances raised by students related to academics, infrastructure, examination, administration, and any other issues.

An important example to give about this cell is, a few years back, a recently passed out student had a grievance regarding her admission issue at the University level WHICH CONNECTED TO DOCUMENTS ISSUED AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL and the committee chairperson personally went to the University along with his staff and ensured that the problem was solved .Due to this ,the student was able to get admission for her future education.

UGC has a centralized online portal, e-Samadhaan, which addresses grievances and concerns from not only students but also faculty and other stakeholders.
