‘MA in Human Rights’, University of London. An awardee of the British Chevening Human Rights Fellowship, Awarded by the British High Commission, UK.  It is the International merit fellowship from South Asia (Areas of specialization: International law and Women’s human rights, UN Convention on child rights, Environment and Human Rights, Multinational Enterprises and human rights)

L.L.B (Bachelor of Laws), Government Law College, University of Bombay, Mumbai. (Area of Specialization: Criminal law, Administrative law)

Awards and Honors:

*British Chevening Human Rights Scholar. It is an international merit fellowship awarded by the British High Commission, UK.

*Invited to deliver lectures at Grimsby College, UK, 23 June 2000.

*Represented women of India in South Africa, and Cape Town in ‘World Court of Women Against War and for Peace’, organized under the program of the United Nations, and presented a paper on refugee women. March 2001.

*Member of the World Court of Women Against War and for Peace, South Africa

*Invited to deliver lectures on Women’s Human Rights, by the University of Magdeburg, Germany for the Master’s Degree course in the Department of Politics, during October-November 2003.

*Invited to deliver a lecture on ‘Domestic violence’, at World Social Forum, January 2004, Mumbai From the organization ‘Brot Fur Di Welt’. Germany.

Appointments and teaching experience:

*I have acquired training of Teaching from the Department of FASS University, UK wherein I learned in detail the examination marking system and ‘ Survival teaching skills ’of the UK Higher education system.

In the Department of History UK, I taught an ‘Enlightenment’ course, my duties were: Teaching seminar groups, leading discussions, facilitating seminar contributions and assessing them.

Teaching Experience in India: Associate Professor and HOD in Dept. of Politics, K.J.Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce from July 1989,(Affiliated to University of Mumbai) INDIA.

Areas of Work: a) I have been teaching a Graduate degree course in Politics. I am also responsible for the framing of a syllabus for the Degree course in Politics. And delivered lectures at the Dept. of Civics and Politics, Mumbai University on Human Rights, Social Justice, and Social Theories etc.
