- Abstract
Modern Indian education system is largely British and Western in temperament. It was product of colonial civilising mission. The British education and the system resulted in a devaluation of India’s historical experience. New Education Policy has taken note of this aspect and emphasised on the Indianisation of the education in India. The present study analyses the manifold aspects and implication of the Indianisation of the education system.
