- Abstract
The paper explores the dynamics of the reform, mainly religious, initiated among the Jains during the late nineteenth and the first half of the twentieth centuries. The whole process of the reform always works in unpredictable fashion. It opens up and throws challenges, the handling of which often results into contradictory responses.
